Though James Sellier (1952-2015) eschewed classification, he is best described as an urban artist and San Francisco was his canvas. Influenced by Neo Dadaism, he produced a sizable blend of art, including assemblage, collage, mixed media, and stenciling. His stencil art emblazoned alleys, streets, and all manner of surfaces in various SF neighborhoods, and was featured along with a host of other graffiti artists in the book "Stencil Pirates".
