Raritan Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from 2nd Ave. to 5th. This stretch will be divided into three zones roughly corresponding to the blocks. 2nd to 3rd will contain local arts-related booths so these businesses can promote themselves as well as children's activities and food. 3rd to 4th will contain the juried Art Show of artists selling their wares (artwork and fine crafts) and the judges' dais for awarding prizes. 4th to 5th will contain the entertainment and the beer and wine tasting. Food vendors will be dispersed throughout the event and smaller acoustic entertainment acts (string quartet, a capella singers, etc.) will be sprinkled throughout. Main Street businesses will be engaged and urged to participate. Stores can host art shows and entertainment; restaurants will set up outdoor dining areas in front of their locations or set up booths in the event.

Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are available.

The Arts in the Park will be Highland Park's premiere new event. It will showcase the best of our town: diversity, arts, shopping, dining, education, and entertainment.
