Victor Gastelum : Track 16, Santa Monica, CA

TRACK 16 PRESENTS: VICTOR GASTELUM: SELECTED WORKS

Track 16 Gallery will reopen it's doors to the public with three separate presentations: a solo exhibition of works by Victor Gastelum curated by Elizabeta Betinski, former director of OVERTONES gallery in Los Angeles. The store/gallery will open with a reception on Thursday, February 25 from 7-9 P.M. Regular store/gallery hours following the opening will be from Thursday through Saturday from noon to 6 P.M. The Gastelum exhibition will run through March 27, 2010.

Wash DC Stencil Class 14 Feb

(Washington, DC) Kevin "JAZI" Irvin, is self-taught DC artist with a huge presence at Artomatic, Art Whino, Albus Cavus events and work for major companies such as Red Bull and Adidas. Jazi is leading the workshop on Sunday, February 14, 2010 will be all about stencils. Jazi will share his secrets on selecting the right materials, transfering the images, cutting and applying the paint. The Fridge, 516 8th Street SE (rear alley), Washington, DC is in walking distance from Eastern Market Metro Station. Wear working clothes. All supplies provided. Fee $25. Twelve Doors Update

www.twelvedoors.com update

Since Jef Aerosol did Waiting for Godot in Temple Bar in October, we have had some great work on the door.

November saw ADW present the Irish Minister for Health, Mary Harney TD dressed in peasant garb looking very bored reflecting our current economic climate.
December was a joint project by artist Maser and singer Damien Dempsey, for the people of Dublin, about Dublin, in Dublin entitled Love Yourself Today.

January saw the return of Will St Leger who gave us Cowards Carry Knives a commentary on the amount of knife related deaths in Dublin.

February and March still to come and then the Twelvedoors are complete!

In Signs of Change: Social Movement Cultures 1960s to Now, hundreds of posters, photographs, moving images, audio clips, and ephemera bring to life over forty years of activism, political protest, and campaigns for social justice. Curated by Dara Greenwald and Josh MacPhee as part of Exit Art’s Curatorial Incubator Program, this important and timely exhibition surveys the creative work of dozens of international social movements.
