Defacer With Mystery Agenda Is Attacking Street Art

Nicole Bengiveno/The New York Times

The evidence is the bright green and purple splashes of paint that
began appearing on walls in Brooklyn and Manhattan more than a month
ago. The carefully aimed blobs obscured or disfigured dozens of pieces
of street art created by people who may not be household names, but who
have achieved the esteem of peers and some recognition from the
mainstream art world. The targets of the paint attacks have included
posters, paper cutouts pasted on walls, and images stenciled on the
sides of buildings.

02/21/2007 Stencil Uploads Passes 6400

Sooooo, my household finally welcomed in the 21st Century via cable internet! My options for being online have really sucked in the past 3 months (cafes, stolen wifi, friend's houses, etc.) so now that isn't an issue.

Just passed 6400 photos as well, so thanks again for all your submissions and hits and visits.

This squid ended up in front of Laughing Squid's birthday party venue.

This kitty showed up on Geary St. here in San Francisco.

Found another one from 2+2=5.

Another batch from the Mission District here in SF.

Another chunk of my NYC photos from last year.

Singles for the Media Archive and from a "Save Black Mesa" protest in San Jose, CA

onwards to 6500!

02/09/2007 Stencil Uploads

Fresh stuff from the backlog, with a few single submissions:

Some singles trickled in recently. My bud Mark saw this one in Asheville, NC. Saw this one from DC Indymedia's recent protest coverage. And Pure Evil dropped off a fresh one.

Once again, here are some more of my photos from the streets of NYC, San Francisco's Mission and Haight districts.
