No country craft stencils here! It looks like silk screening, but it's stenciling!
The Stencil class will be taught by Kim McCarthy aka SOULE of Urban Soule Design.
This class jumps into action with Kim guiding you through the entire process from the creation of the stencil,
to applying the stencil image on multiple surfaces, using a variety of mediums. Learn to transfer your images onto fabric, paper, wood and many other surfaces.
This is a very fun, hands-on class so you should wear "painting clothes".
Students are encouraged to give renewed life to their vintage clothes, bags, 100% cotton shirt or fabric. (100% cotton works best but a cotton/poly blend will do, shirts with ribbing (raised vertical lines) do NOT stencil well)
also recommend: pillow cases, tote bags, sketchbooks, canvas, etc... which you should bring to apply your stencil(s) on.

Guerrilla gardening and street art come together in this recipe for green mayhem. Get out there and spread some spores!
Ingredients:
-1 can of beer (or 12 oz yoghurt)
-1/2 tsp sugar
-Several clumps of garden moss (found in damp, shady places)
1. Rip the moss into small chunks, blend with sugar and beer (or yoghurt) until smooth and creamy.
2. Find an appropriate location (fairly moist without too much sun).
3. Using a stencil or freehand, paint your design.
4. Over the next 2–3 weeks revisit the spot and spray-mist your design with water.
5. Watch your green design grow!

John Fekner just contacted Stencil Archive to let us know that he's updated his site http://www.johnfekner.com/
Though he has "beta" on the mast head, the site has many images from his amazing art/stencil portfolio.
Fekner told us that he's updating more content to his site "in a timely fashion."
We can't wait to see the additions!
