Twelve Doors Update
www.twelvedoors.com updateSince Jef Aerosol did Waiting for Godot in Temple Bar in October, we have had some great work on the door.
November saw ADW present the Irish Minister for Health, Mary Harney TD dressed in peasant garb looking very bored reflecting our current economic climate.
December was a joint project by artist Maser and singer Damien Dempsey, for the people of Dublin, about Dublin, in Dublin entitled Love Yourself Today.
January saw the return of Will St Leger who gave us Cowards Carry Knives a commentary on the amount of knife related deaths in Dublin.
February and March still to come and then the Twelvedoors are complete!

CCA Chicago presents "Tools for Actions"
Toronto’s Urban Repair Squad grew tired of waiting for municipal authorities to create adequate bicycle lanes and began to install their own DIY infrastructure, encouraging others to take action against car culture. Since 2005, the group has painted over six kilometres of bicycle lanes on major and minor streets in Toronto while disguised as municipal workers – official City of Toronto workers attempt to remove the markings as fast as they are painted.

What better month than February to highlight a ladies only urban contemporary art show. This is the Bherd Studios 2nd Annual show and they feel that perhaps they should just declare the month of February as a celebration of Fabulously Fresh Females Artists! The artists that they are presenting in February are each incredibly productive, talented and highly motivated women who have shown their work on a national and some, on an international level. If you attend any popular local art festival or craft show, you are sure to see myself (Soule) Soopajdelux, Michelle Smith-Lewis and Coco Howard among the mix of entrepreneurial talent.

Stencils sind ohne Zweifel die schnellste, unmittelbarste und wirkungsvollste Methode, ein Bild auf eine Wand, einen Bürgersteig oder so gut wie jedes andere Objekt aufzubringen. Doch darüber hinaus ist die Schablonenmalerei auch eine der ältesten Kunstformen der Menschheit, die seit der Steinzeit durch alle Epochen hindurch praktiziert wurde.
In den 70er und 80er Jahren kam es in den USA und Europa gleichzeitig zu einem regelrechten Revival der Schablonenkunst.
